Stranger Things: 2020
Stranger Things is in a state of limbo
Stranger Things (ST) is in the Upside Down right now or the COVID-19 world of delayed cinema releases. The show is considered a science fiction, horror-drama television. It's set in the 1980's in Hawkins, Indiana. ST is on its fourth highly anticipated season. The release date is going to be in 2021, which is a bummer because the 3rd season came out last year in July. What a wonderful July 2019 with the release of ST on July 4th the day before my birthday. And what a wonderful birthday present getting to binge my favorite show.Season 3 |
The fourth season's delayed
Since Georgia opened back up makes me wonder if they will wrap filming production for season 4 this summer and get it release by September 2020 (yeah right). The Duffer Brother's were able to make one episode and I feel they owe it to the fans to release it, even though they are really behind getting it released. It's unlikely they will tease us with just an episode but I'll take it.
Robin Buckley was one of my favorite characters last season
Robin & Steve |
Robin Buckley is played by 'Maya Hawke' was exceptional lesbian icon because of her character. Steve played by 'Joe Keery' plays the dumped boyfriend looking for another girlfriend finds-- Robin, but she bats for the other team 'if you know what I mean.' The lesbianism added much needed depth to the last seasons plot. I look forward to where they take it.
Hawke did an interview recently with ES Insider where she discloses how her parents generation (Ethan and Uma) had it much easier and they're not protecting the political or environmental landscapes for the future. Her parents are Generation X by the way and not to complain about other generations having it easier I agree with Maya. I'm 33 years old and have experienced my second recession. These recessions are once in a lifetime events now happening every ten years. The other older generations are over the peak and haven't had to live their early working years in such murky waters like those in their 20's or 30's. It's true and totally Stranger Times!
These are Stranger Times 2020 |
That was a rant but having read the article I had to share plus she's what I'm looking forward to most in the upcoming season. Again don't know when that will be -- its TBA. Here's the link to the interview: https://www.standard.co.uk/insider/alist/maya-hawke-parents-nylon-a4420861.html
