Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

30th Year Anniversary on October 21st, 1988

Halloween 4: the Return of Michael Myers movie came out when my mom use to wear perm rollers. The 80's are known for fantastic horror movies. John Carpenter was the man and having Debra Hill on his side the two of them made one of the best horror film teams in modern history. The franchise is still whipping stuff up for us to watch ('Halloween 2018'). We just cannot get enough of Michael Myers. He's an amazing, mysterious fictional character and scares the shit out of me.

Halloween 4

I saw Halloween 4 on TBS cable station in the 90's and I remembered it being about Michael's niece . I read up about how John and Debra made Halloween One and Two but retired the storyline. People did not like the third Halloween so the creators of the 4th and 5th one went in a totally different direction than the previous other movies. The director of this movie is: Dwight H Little and stars a bunch of unknown actress's and actor's. The screenplay was created by Alan B McElroy who also did Spawn movies (which I like). And it's filmed in Utah, which is interesting because I thought it was filmed in Illinois. Nope that's just the storyline location.

Halloween Horror Night Maze

Universal Studios Horror Nights, which starts this Friday night on 9/14/18 is hosting a maze dedicated to Halloween 4. This is the main reason why I wanted to see this because I'd forgotten what it's about and rather than going to the maze I could just watch the movie and get a 2d intake. My intake is it's entertaining the movie is not slow moving. It goes from scene to scene with the scary synth music composed by: Alan Howarth (collaborator with John Carpenter). The music and scene development kept me engaged and of course Michael Myer's and his sly moving walk. He walks at a snails pace and still gets the job done. His walk is the best with the creeper music.

Michael Myers Has Style

Michael is slow to kill it's comical to watch how he takes his sweet time to get to his victims. Usually his victims trip or fall and then Michael brings out his infamous kitchen knife.  In this movie he killed a lot with his bare hands because he's a freak of nature. Most character's in the movie referred to him as 'evil itself.' Yeah and the gore from the incredible strength it takes to kill with your bare hands is impressive enough.  Or should I say frightening enough. I can't wait to read about what people say about the maze and what direction it takes. Either way any horror event with a maze in Michaels honor is guaranteed worth the $70 ticket charge at HHN. Now I'm going to finish listening to the score and then watch Halloween 5.
