ParaNorman: 2020 Review
ParaNorman is a Treat or Trick
Norman- 11-year-old problems |
ParaNorman is a stop motion dark fantasy film and falls under the Halloween genre. It had strong support from A-list voice-overs and performed well at the box office. Maybe it's underrated because it's kind of mature for its audience. You know what I mean if you've seen it. Without spoiling too much, it takes place in 'Hallow, Massachusetts,' and has some Salem Witch Massachusetts vibes going on. Turns out this was released in August 2012, which an exciting time to release a stop-motion Halloween movie (I'll take it).
There is a queer in the end
I love it when there are gay characters in kid movies. It is showing how mature it is. Kids are smart enough to get this emotional intelligence in cinema. At the end of the movie, someone comes out of the closet, and it's not a ghoul. I can't believe 8 years have passed since this originally came out. To think we almost forgot about it. You can stream it on Netflix. It's part of the halloweeny films they are offering now. For maximum viewing pleasure, watch this with fresh baked cookies and milk. It's that good.
